CD sampler image After the release of the first Mountain Harvest Musical Sampler in 2001 people were clamoring for another one. Well here it is! The original CD was and still is in steady demand and showed the world that there are some interesting musical things happening here in Western Colorado. The new Mountain Harvest Musical Sampler Vol. 2 continues in the same tradition of presenting some of the best music the area has to offer. Every artist that appears on the CD has appeared at the Mountain Harvest Festival sometime during in it's history and somewill be participating in the Saturday night concerts this year. Just like the first CD, which was the catalyst that got the Mountain Harvest Festival rolling to begin with, this new CD Sampler is chock full of great tunes and just like at the festival, you will hear an eclectic variety of styles. There are over 75 minutes of music and 18 songs. Many of the songs have been released on CDs by the various musicians and others have yet to be released. There is even a tune captured at a live performance and one performed at a radio studio on air. On the CD you will hear jam band, bluegrass, blues, Celtic influenced music, rock-fusion, contemporary pop, country, folk, & rock. There are a few instrumental tunes, and lots of harmonious singing and great pickin'. Once again, a truly enjoyable listening experience from start to finish. The proceeds from the sale of the CDs go to support the Mountain Harvest Festival, so make sure to pick one up sometime during the weekend!

CD sampler image The Mountain Harvest CD Sampler is a collection of music from some of the musicians who live & play in and around Western Colorado's North Fork Valley. The recordings were made between 1998 & 2001 and represent the depth & diversity of the music and the people in the area. It's a good slice of the musical pie. On the CD you will hear old time fiddle, bluegrass, blues, Celtic music, African influenced drumming, acappella vocals, and contemporary country, folk, & rock. There are a few instrumental tunes, and lots of harmonious singing and great pickin'. Some of the songs willpull at your heartstrings, others make you laugh, and some will make you want to get up and dance. A truly enjoyable listening experience.
